Day 8 we remain in Yosemite Valley until the 9th but in the meantime we venture out to Lower Yosemite Falls, Valley Loop Trail, Yosemite Village, Swan Slab and Half Dome Village formally known as Curry Village while encountering various forms of wildlife.

Day 7 is a travel day going North on U.S. Route 395 to SR 120 into Yosemite Valley but along the way we couldn’t resist and had to stop multiple times. Erick Schat’s Bakery anyone? What can we say it was beautiful 🙂
Day 4, we are awakened to the sad news of what happened in Las Vegas and do some RV window repair in preparation for our camping trip to Yosemite Valley.
Day 2, some of us went to my sister’s baby shower while others played in the desert boulder fields of Wagon Wheel. The day concluded with a quick “how to roast green chile” demonstration and family fire . . . good times 🙂
A group of seven guys backpacked through the south east San Juan National Forest from Platoro Reservoir to Blue Lake Colorado. We hiked past Conejos Peak (rabbit peak), across Conejos River and through the small valley of the El Rita Azul (the blue ritual) creek. It was a four day trip including travel filled with grand vistas and every form of precipitation imaginable.
